This project embraces California’s native landscapes and the principles of drought-tolerant design. Ferox Studio removed more than 12,000 square feet of lawn and replaced it with a diverse palette of resilient, water-wise species. Soft drifts of Aristida grasses catch the light at sunset, while the silvery tones of artemisia and the sculptural presence of cacti bring a luminous quality to the mornings. The result is a landscape that provides habitat, reduces water use, and elevates design—an example of sustainability and beauty working together.
